Seton Hall Cuts Ribbon for “New” Bishop Dougherty University Center

On November 28th, the ribbon was cut for the opening of the “New” Bishop Dougherty University Center at Seton Hall University. The 60-year-old building has been given a new lease on life with a complete transformation from top to bottom and inside out. The entire facade facing the historic campus green was redesigned in keeping with its landmark neighbors, and the surrounding site modified with the creation of a tiered exterior amphitheater and raised public plaza. The “U.C.” can now fulfill the vision of the administration to be the “center” of a vibrant student life, with interior programmed spaces which include: Board & Retail Dining, Performing Arts Theater, Multi-Purpose Event Space, Television/Radio Studio, Student Government offices, and Recreation & Lounge areas.
