Sprague Field is the home of the Montclair State University Red Hawks. Located adjacent to the main entry to the University, the Stadium serves as a gateway to campus. The 6,000 seat facility has been the venue for some of the most exciting and thrilling moments in MSU Athletics history.
Our project entailed replacing the aging “AstroTurf” synthetic field with “FieldTurf”. FieldTurf is dramatically different from traditional synthetic turf, instead of a dense, abrasive rug, FieldTurf’s fiber surface is soft. Players can slide, tackle and tumble on FieldTurf’s blend of specially treated Polyethylene fibers without abrasions.
A new scoreboard was also installed as part of this project.
