Princeton University commissioned a study to address improvements to the Class of 1895 Softball Stadium. The study explored improved, safer dugouts, expanded batting cages and bullpens, a permanent, enlarged seating bowl, a press box, and field storage. The conceptual design addresses these needs, as well as improving the adjacent campus network of paths and pedestrian walkways. The architectural aesthetics are derived from the adjacent Roberts Soccer Stadium. The polished block and exposed timber construction of the renovated softball field will compliment the existing family of athletic facilities.
All work was performed to meed NCAA Standards for collegiate softball facilities. Phase 1 was the construction of the new dugouts.
