The rehabilitation of the barn maintained many of its historic features. The entire heavy timber construction was maintained and the design of the interior strives to enhance this beautiful construction. New clapboard siding was installed to replace the deteriorated existing siding. Additionally, new wood windows was installed to brighten the office space with natural light. On the lower level, the existing field stone foundation was cleaned and repointed. New wood windows were inserted into the former garage door locations. Also, a new standing seam metal roof was installed.
The plan includes an open office layout space for maximum flexibility and to enhance the historical quality of the timber framing. A new mezzanine was installed at the location of the former hay loft. New barrier-free bathrooms and kitchenettes will be created. Also, a new egress stair were added.
