Rutgers University: The Kathleen W. Ludwig Global Village Learning Center

The Kathleen W. Ludwig Global Village Learning Center is designed to fit beautifully and seamlessly into the historic Jameson Quadrangle of Rutgers University’s Douglass College. This group of historic Georgian-Revival dormitories, organized around one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces at the University, is a landmark for this renowned all-women’s College. The new Center completes the quadrangle, providing outdoor seating and meeting space, a sweeping arched pathway and a colonnaded entry that provides a visual focus for the Quad. The program of the Center includes dormitory rooms in a variety of configurations, student lounge space, a student kitchen, as well as a variety of academic spaces. These formal and informal meeting spaces, classrooms and multi-use rooms are now the heart of the Jameson Quadrangle and the Global Living and Learning Program.
