57th Street Garage

To better serve the town’s vibrant retail corridor along Bergenline Avenue, also known as the “Miracle Mile”—the longest commercial avenue in New Jersey, Two new sleek and minimalistic parking garages were designed to support one of the most densely populated municipalities in the United States. West New York’s growth has been shaped by a rich history, including its emergence in the late 19th century as a hub for the embroidery industry.

At its peak, the town was home to numerous manufacturers, accounting for 90% of all embroidery production in the U.S. The 57th street parking garage, the first constructed, incorporates a brick aesthetic that references the town’s historic masonry vernacular, while also nodding to the intricate patterns of embroidery stitches.
