The corner of Front and South Warren Streets had been a vacant lot for more than twenty years, a “missing tooth” in Trenton’s Warren Street Historic District. Woodrose Properties purchased the property from the City of Trenton and Clarke Caton Hintz designed a new building to fill the entire foot print of the site. The new mixed use commercial building is three stories with about 13,000 sf of space. The ground floor has retail space, an entry lobby and several on-site parking spaces. The upper two floors provide beautiful office space for the Communication Workers of America. Designed with a cast stone and brick exterior, the rhythm of the facade and the large windows give this relatively large building a pleasing scale that fits into the character of the district, while also providing a contemporary, urbane feel.
