Monroe Township Breaks Ground on Veteran Housing

Monroe Township has broken ground on the construction of a new residential development, designed by Clarke Caton Hintz, which will provide 80 units of affordable housing for veterans. These residential units have been designed to accommodate those with mobility, visual, and hearing disabilities. It will be constructed by Conifer-LeChase Construction, and will be situated in Patriot Park, which contains a playground, dog park, basketball court, and cricket pitch.

β€œWe are thrilled to be moving forward on the construction of affordable housing for veterans as we are so grateful for their service to our country,” said Mayor Stephen Dalina. β€œThe acquisition of this land in 2019 served three very important purposes for the Township. It increased our open space inventory and added convenient recreational facilities that residents have been using for some time now. This is the third, and perhaps most important piece – affordable housing for veterans.”
