The Lower Makefield Community Center has been designed to offer all community members, specifically senior citizens, a welcoming place to gather, socialize and participate in group activities. The overall goal of the community center is to provide flexible spaces, accommodating any function. At the heart of the building is a large multi-purpose room with an adjoining catering kitchen. The multi-purpose room, which has a movable dividing wall for greater flexibility, opens out onto an exterior patio at the rear of the building, overlooking the wooded landscape. Two classrooms create opportunity for smaller group activities such as art classes, book club meetings, etc. Expanded parking has been created to serve the adjacent athletic fields when games are in season.
